ACME | Understanding Bacteriology of Acnes| Managing Psoriasis

Dear Dr. Renukaprasad A R,
In addition to producing a number of suspected virulence factors, P. acnes alters and manipulates the host immune response and forms biofilms, all of which contribute to the illness. However, very few studies about this organism exist because its pathogenic potential has only lately been recognized.
Patients with psoriasis frequently have worse quality of life than those with other chronic conditions. Based on body surface area (BSA) involvement, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) distinguishes between mild, moderate, and severe psoriasis, classifying "severe" illness as affecting 20% or more of the patient's BSA.
We bring you a special Online Accredited CME session on "Bacteriology of Acne and Biofilms | Emerging Treatments for Psoriasis" organized by Gujarat Medical Council and IADVL Vadodara with an academic grant from Docplexus by leading dermatologists on 28th May 2023, 4:00 PM IST onwards.
