Prevalence of Stroke Among Pediatric Cancer PatientsResearchers from the American University of Beirut Medical Center have reported that 2.9% of children with cancer suffer a stroke within one to nine months of being diagnosed with cancer. The retrospective review published in the journal BMC Neurology also showed that cerebral sinus venous thrombosis (CSVT) and acute arterial ischemic stroke are more common among pediatric cancer patients.
