Dear Dr. Renukaprasad A R, Fractionation plays a pivotal role in maximizing the destruction of malignant cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissues. Recent advances in linear accelerators and image-guided techniques have resulted in a paradigm shift from conventional fractionation radiotherapy (CFRT) to high-dose fractionation radiotherapy (HFRT). This shift helps to reveal the varying effects on the tumor microenvironment and immune responses. The potential targets for HRMT are early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), prostate and pancreatic cancer, and oligometastases. On the occasion of our 9th anniversary, join us for a Docplexus Exclusive session with Dr. Nagraj G. Huilgol on "Fractionation in Radiation Oncology" TODAY, at 3:00 PM IST. |
