DED is one of the most prominent pitfalls of diabetes and needs to be managed efficiently. Clinical evidence has demonstrated a 54% prevalence of symptomatic and asymptomatic DED in people with diabetes. Its incidence is directly proportional to glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and is more common in women than in men. |
