Pediatrics Cataract Surgery and IOL Implantation

Dear Dr. Renukaprasad A R,
Congenital and childhood cataracts are significant causes of visual impairment in children. However, due to the different etiomorphological characteristics of the condition, its management remains challenging. Using an intraocular lens (IOL) during cataract surgery is the most common means of optical correction in children beyond infancy. Despite several studies confirming the effectiveness of IOLs, concern remains about the unknown risks associated with them.
To learn more about the postoperative management of IOL implantation, join Dr. Suresh K Pandey, for a session on "Pearls for Infantile and Pediatrics Cataract Surgery and IOL Implantation" TODAY, at 6:00 PM IST.
