FDA Approves Dual-targeted Treatment for Type 2 Diabetes

The USFDA has approved an injection named Tirzepatide to treat adults with type 2 diabetes. The drug activates the receptors of both the hormones, namely, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), which are responsible for controlling blood sugar.
