What is your opinion about dry eye disease (DED) due to diabetes?
DED is one of the most prominent pitfalls of diabetes and needs to be managed efficiently. Clinical evidence has demonstrated a 54% prevalence of symptomatic and asymptomatic DED in people with diabetes. Its incidence is directly proportional to glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and is more common in women than in men.
