Skin issues in diabetes mellitus (DM) patients are associated with microangiopathy, protein glycosylation, neuropathy, and other DM complications.1 Xerosis and callus are early-stage skin disorders that increase the risk of diabetic ulceration.2
DM patients who have their disease under control and use proper skincare are less likely to develop skin diseases.1
