Managing Diabetic Xerosis with Moisturizers

Dear Dr. Renukaprasad A R,
Dry skin is common in diabetic patients, often caused by fluctuating glucose levels and a weakened skin barrier. Additionally, autonomic neuropathy may also play a role in causing dryness.1
Urea-containing moisturizers are safe and effective in xerosis management by increasing skin hydration, decreasing transepidermal water loss, and other vital mechanisms.2
Check out this Infographic explaining how moisturizers containing urea can help improve diabetic xerosis.
